Narwal vs Roborock: Which Mopping Robot Fits Your Home?
Ten current robots in five matched pairs, from the entry full docks to the track mop and roller flagships, so you compare like with like and choose the mopping system that suits your floors.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no cost to you. How we make money.
Narwal and Roborock both build robots that vacuum and mop, and both sell a dock that empties the bin and washes the mop. That is where the similarity ends. Narwal is best known for its flat track mop, a belt that is rinsed with clean water as it works. Roborock builds spinning pads and, on its newest models, a self-cleaning roller. Which one suits you depends less on the brand name than on the floor under your feet and the kind of mess you clean up.
So this page does not crown a brand. It sets ten current models side by side in five matched pairs, one Narwal against one Roborock at the same rung of the ladder: an entry full dock, a mid-range pair, an upper mid-range pair, a premium pair and the two track and roller flagships. Inside each pair you see what each maker states for the points that matter at home, and where a listing is silent we write "not stated" instead of guessing.
How We Compare
We do not run a test lab, and we will not pretend to. Every figure on this page is the maker's own, taken from each model's current Amazon US listing and set next to its pair. We attribute the numbers, we say "not stated" when a listing is silent, and we never treat two makers' suction ratings as if they were measured the same way.

Entry Full Dock: Narwal Freo X Plus vs Roborock Qrevo Pro
Both of these sit in the mid-range price tier and both come with a dock that does more than charge. They differ on what that dock is built to do: one is built around dust storage, the other around washing the mop.
The Matchup
The Narwal Freo X Plus lists 7,800 Pa, LiDAR SLAM 4.0 with tri-laser obstacle avoidance, a 280 ml water tank, 6N of mop pressure and a dock that compresses dust for up to 7 weeks. The Roborock Qrevo Pro lists 7,000 Pa, a FlexiArm mop that extends to the edge, 140°F hot water mop washing, auto mop drying, auto tank refilling and a 10 mm mop lift on carpet.

- Hands-free Up to 7 weeks of dust
- Carpet Mop lifts 9 mm
- Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz
- Buy it if

Navigation combines LiDAR SLAM 4.0 with three lasers and edge sensors. The mop lifts to 9 mm over carpet, and the 280 ml tank is rated by Narwal for up to 450 square meters in a single pass. Narwal recommends 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for stability.

For a wider view of each range, see our Narwal reviews and Roborock reviews.
Mid-Range: Narwal Freo Z10 Turbo vs Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro
This pair sits in the premium price tier on both sides, and it is the cleanest like-for-like match on the page. Both are spinning-mop robots with a washing dock, so the differences are real ones: suction, carpet lift and wash temperature.
The Matchup
The Narwal Freo Z10 Turbo lists 25,000 Pa, Reuleaux triangular dual-spin mops at 180 RPM with 12N of pressure, AI 3D structured light with LDS LiDAR, and a dock with 167°F washing, 104°F drying and 2.5 L auto-emptying. The Two Robots Reviewed
Best for stuck-on messes and a hotter wash
Narwal Freo Z10 Turbo
The Narwal for sticky floors and short-pile carpet, with the higher stated suction and the hotter dock wash of the pair.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You have kitchen floors that need scrubbing and rugs in the same rooms.
- Skip it if
- You need a stated Wi-Fi band or noise figure; the listing gives neither.
Narwal states 25,000 Pa and mops that spin at 180 RPM with 12N of pressure in a Reuleaux triangular shape designed to cover corners. On carpet, a brush plate lowers to seal for stronger suction while the mops lift automatically; the lift height is not given. EdgeSwing extends and pivots the pad toward baseboards. The dock empties into a 2.5 L bag, and Narwal covers the robot with a one year warranty.
What stands out
- 25,000 Pa stated
- Dock washes at 167°F
- Brush plate seals on detected carpet
- EdgeSwing mop extension
Trade-offs
- Carpet mop lift height not stated
- Wi-Fi band and noise not stated
- Dock dries at a lower temperature than the Roborock's
Best for mixed floors and quiet running
Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro
The Roborock for homes with more carpet and a household that likes it quiet.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You have low-pile carpet next to hard floors and you run the robot while people are home.
- Skip it if
- You want the highest suction in the pair or a stated dust bag duration.
Roborock lists 20,000 Pa HyperForce suction that boosts on carpet, a dual zero-tangle system, and FlexiArm mopping that reaches within 1.85 mm of walls. In carpet mode the robot vacuums carpet before mopping, lifts the mopping module up to 15 mm and can remove the mop altogether. The dock cleans the mop at 149°F and dries it with 113°F air. SmartPlan 3.0 adapts to floor types and cleaning history. Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only.
What stands out
- Mop lifts up to 15 mm and can be removed on carpet
- 54 dB operation, per Roborock
- Dock refills, washes and dries
- Zero-tangle brush pair
Trade-offs
- 20,000 Pa, below the Narwal's stated figure
- Dust bag duration not stated
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
Which One to Pick
Pick the Z10 Turbo for the higher suction and the hotter wash, and the Qrevo 2 Pro for the deeper stated carpet lift and a published noise level. Neither listing gives a dust bag duration, so ask yourself how often you are willing to open the dock before you decide.
Upper Mid-Range: Narwal Freo 20 Edge vs Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow
This is where the two mopping philosophies meet head on. Narwal uses a wide track mop, Roborock uses a roller that rinses itself as it turns. Both are premium-tier robots.

The Narwal Freo 20 Edge lists 31,000 Pa, a 10.5 in flattened track mop with FlowWash, a mop that extends up to 1.9 in, rear dToF LiDAR with dual structured light, 56 dB while mopping and up to 120 days of hands-free dust collection. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow lists 20,000 Pa, a SpiraFlow roller mop at 15N and 220 RPM, a mop lift up to 15 mm with an automatic roller shield, recognition of over 200 object types, and a dock with 167°F washing and 131°F drying.

Narwal Freo 20 Edge
The Narwal for big hard-floor homes where you want fewer trips to the dock.

- Skip it if
- Rugs are a big part of your home; the listing does not describe a mop lift on carpet.

The dock washes and dries the mop, flushes its scraper and dirty-water tank, and stores dust for up to 120 days. The listing gives 56 dB while mopping and a one year manufacturer warranty. Wash and dry temperatures are not stated.
What stands out
- 31,000 Pa stated
- Up to 120 days of hands-free dust collection
- Mop extends 1.9 in toward edges

- You have kids or pets and want the robot to switch to mop-only mode for liquid spills.
- Skip it if
- You want the highest stated suction or a stated dust bag duration.
Roborock describes a roller that is scraped clean in real time with eight hydration points, and says the robot can identify liquid messes such as coffee or ketchup and switch to mop-only mode with the brushes lifted. In carpet mode it raises suction, lifts the mop up to 15 mm and deploys the roller shield. PreciSense LiDAR supports up to 4 floor plans. The detachable dock refills the tank and empties dust. Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only.
What stands out
- Roller mop that cleans itself as it works
- Mop-only mode for liquid spills

- Up to 4 saved floor plans

Which One to Pick
Take the Freo 20 Edge if you want the track mop, the higher suction figure and the longest dust stretch in the pair. Take the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow if rugs and spills share your rooms, because it is the one that states a roller shield and a mop-only mode. If you are weighing Roborock against other brands too, see our Dreame vs Roborock comparison.
Premium: Narwal Freo 20 vs Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro
Both of these are premium-tier robots with a 212°F dock wash, so the contest is on the details: suction, how each handles thresholds, and what each puts in the way of a camera.

Best for pet homes that like to check in remotely
Narwal Freo 20
The Narwal for pet households that want a hot wash and a way to see the room.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You have pets, you mop hard floors often and a camera in the house does not bother you.
- Skip it if
- You do not want a camera in the house, or you need a stated carpet mop lift.
Narwal lists 31,000 Pa with noise-reduction features in the motor and a track mop of 14,630 mm² that self-cleans with heated water while it scrubs. Pet Care Mode 2.0 raises suction when it detects a pet zone, and the video call function lets you look in on pets through the app. The dock is rated to wash at up to 212°F and dry with 140°F air. The listing gives a one year manufacturer warranty. Dust bag duration, carpet lift and Wi-Fi band are not stated.
What stands out
- 212°F dock wash and 140°F drying
- Pet zone detection raises suction
- Mop extends up to 1.9 in toward edges
- Video call through the app
Trade-offs
- Camera on board
- Carpet lift, dust duration and Wi-Fi band not stated
Best for thresholds, rugs and low furniture
Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro
The Roborock for homes with raised doorways, thick rugs and low sofas.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You have double-layer thresholds or carpets up to 1.81 in thick and want the robot to cross them.
- Skip it if
- You do not want a camera, or you want a longer dust bag stretch.
Roborock lists a 36,000 Pa digital motor, an AdaptiLift chassis that climbs 1.77 in single-layer and 3.46 in double-layer thresholds, carpets up to 1.81 in thick with automatic mop detachment, and 3.13 in of clearance for low furniture. The warm water mop spins at 200 RPM with up to 14N of pressure. FlexiArm cleans behind marked curtains. The dock washes at 212°F, doses detergent, dries with 131°F air and empties for up to 65 days. Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only, and the warranty is one year for quality-related issues.
What stands out
- 36,000 Pa stated
- Crosses up to 3.46 in double-layer thresholds
- 3.13 in clearance for low furniture
- Automatic detergent dispensing in the dock
Trade-offs
- Camera and structured light on board
- Up to 65 days of dust, shorter than the Narwal Freo 20 Edge's 120
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
Which One to Pick
Pick the Qrevo Edge 3 Pro if your home has raised thresholds, rugs or low sofas, because it is the one that states clearance and step heights. Pick the Freo 20 if you mop hard floors, own pets and like the idea of a track mop and a video call. Both wash at 212°F, so the mop-wash temperature will not separate them.
Track Mop vs Roller Flagships: Narwal Flow 2 vs Roborock Saros 20 Flow
One caution before the comparison. Both are in the premium price tier, but the Saros 20 Flow sits a step above the Flow 2 within it, so Roborock is the more expensive side of this pair. That is part of the comparison, and we say it up front.
The Matchup
The Narwal Flow 2 lists 31,000 Pa in its title, a FlowWash track mop, dual RGB cameras, a mop that lifts 0.47 in on carpet, a 7,000 mAh battery and a dock that stores dust for up to 120 days. The Roborock Saros 20 Flow lists 36,000 Pa, a SpiraFlow 2.0 roller mop with up to 15 mm of lift, AdaptiLift Traverse 3.0 crossing 3.46 in double-layer thresholds, and a RockDock with 212°F washing and 145°F drying.

Best for a track mop with 120 days of dust storage
Narwal Flow 2
The Narwal flagship for people who want the track mop and the longest dust stretch on this page.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You mop hard floors regularly, own pets and want a dock you open only a few times a season.
- Skip it if
- You need a stated Wi-Fi band or you want the highest suction in the pair.
Narwal states a 140°F FlowWash track mop and a dock that washes and dries the mop, flushes its scraper, and stores dust for up to 120 days. The title lists 212°F hot water washing, while the feature text says adaptive hot water, so treat the exact wash temperature as to be confirmed. Pet Care Mode 2.0 raises suction in pet zones, CarpetFocus lowers the roller cover and lifts the mop 0.47 in, and the battery is 7,000 mAh.
What stands out
- Up to 120 days of dust storage
- Mop lifts 0.47 in on carpet
- Pet zone detection
- Large 7,000 mAh battery
Trade-offs
- Wash temperature differs between title and features
- Wi-Fi band not stated
- Lower stated suction than the Saros 20 Flow
Best for a self-cleaning roller and tall thresholds
Roborock Saros 20 Flow
The Roborock flagship for homes with thresholds, rugs and a taste for a roller mop.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You have double-layer thresholds and carpets next to hard floors, and you accept the higher tier.
- Skip it if
- You want the lower tier of the pair or a stated dust bag duration.
Roborock lists the SpiraFlow 2.0 system, which refreshes the roller mop with warm pressurized water while it cleans, and an edge-adaptive roller that cleans within 10 mm of edges and extends up to 44 mm. AI RGB recognition identifies floor types and adjusts water flow, an automatic roller shield separates wet and dry zones, and the robot crosses 3.46 in double-layer thresholds. The RockDock washes at 212°F, dries at 145°F and doses detergent. It supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only.
What stands out
- 36,000 Pa stated
- Self-cleaning roller mop with a carpet shield
- Crosses up to 3.46 in thresholds
- 212°F wash and 145°F drying with detergent
Trade-offs
- Sits a step above the Narwal in the premium range
- Dust bag duration not stated
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
Which One to Pick
Pick the Flow 2 if the dock is the thing you want to ignore, because its 120 days of dust storage is the longest stated stretch here and it sits in the lower part of the tier. Pick the Saros 20 Flow if rugs, raised doorways and a roller mop matter more, and you are comfortable paying for the step up. For more mop-first picks across brands, see our guide to the best robot mops.
Mopping Systems Explained
Across the five pairs, the same three mop designs keep coming up, and knowing the difference helps you read any listing from either brand.
Track Mops: Narwal's Signature
The Freo 20 Edge, Freo 20 and Flow 2 use a flat track mop that Narwal rinses with a flow of clean water as it moves. The pitch is a large contact area and constant rinsing, so the mop is not dragging dirty water across the floor. The listings state mop areas and pressures but give no result figures, so read the claim as the maker's design intent, and remember that the stated carpet lift varies between models.
Spinning and Roller Mops: Roborock's Approach
Roborock uses a spinning mop on the Qrevo Edge 3 Pro (200 RPM and 14N) and a roller mop on the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow and Saros 20 Flow, which it describes as cleaned in real time by a scraper. Narwal's Freo Z10 Turbo is the exception on the other side: it spins two triangular mops at 180 RPM. The Qrevo Pro and Qrevo 2 Pro list a FlexiArm mop without naming the type.
Docks, Carpet and Hair
Every dock on this page empties dust, and every one except the Freo X Plus describes washing and drying the mop. Stated wash temperatures run from 140°F to 212°F, and stated dust stretches run from 65 days to 120 days, with several listings silent. For carpet, look for a stated lift height: the Roborock models state 10 to 15 mm, the Narwal models state 9 mm and 0.47 in where they state one at all. Both brands pair a floating or dual brush with a side brush for hair, and both say it reduces tangling, so hair alone is not a reason to choose one over the other. For the wider Roborock range, see our Roborock Qrevo guide.
