Dreame vs Roborock: Which Robot Vacuum Should You Buy?
Ten current robots in five price-matched pairs, from self-emptying entry models to the flagships, so you compare like with like and pick the brand that fits your floors.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no cost to you. How we make money.
Dreame and Roborock are the two names that keep coming up once you move past the entry level of robot vacuums, and the question "which is better?" usually gets a one-line answer that helps nobody. The honest answer depends on the price rung. At the entry level the two brands make similar promises. At the top they make different bets on mopping, sensors and how the dock works.
So this page does not rank the brands. It sets ten current models side by side in five price-matched pairs, one Dreame against one Roborock at the same rung: an entry self-emptying dock, a full washing dock for less, a mid-range combo, a slim premium model and the flagship. Inside each pair you can see what each maker states for the points that matter at home, and where a listing is silent, we say so. For the full range of each brand, see our Dreame reviews and Roborock reviews.
How We Compare
We do not run a test lab, and we will not pretend to. Every figure on this page is the maker's own, taken from each model's current Amazon US listing and set next to its pair. We attribute the numbers, we say "not stated" when a listing is silent, and we never treat two makers' suction ratings as if they were measured the same way.

Entry Self-Emptying: Dreame D20 Plus vs Roborock Q7 M5+
This is where most people start: a robot that vacuums, mops a little and empties its own bin into a dock. Both brands have a model here, and both put the dust bag at the center of the pitch.
The Matchup
The Dreame D20 Plus states 13,000 Pa suction, a 5L dust bag with up to 150 days of hands-free cleaning, a 500 ml dustbin, a 350 ml water tank with 32 water levels, and LDS mapping with Pathfinder. The Roborock Q7 M5+ states 10,000 Pa, a 2.7L sealed bag rated for 7 to 9 weeks, PreciSense LiDAR and a mop with three water flow settings. Both sit in the same tier. The dock on each one empties the bin and does nothing else.

The Two Robots Reviewed
Best for the longest hands-off emptying
Dreame D20 Plus
The Dreame to pick when emptying a bin is the chore you most want gone, and you still want the option to mop.
- Mid-range
- Suction 13,000 Pa
- Navigation LDS mapping, Pathfinder
- Mop 32 water levels, 350 ml tank
- Dock Empties into a 5L bag
- Buy it if
- You have pets or a busy household and want the longest stated stretch between bag changes.
- Skip it if
- You want the mop washed for you, or a stated mop lift over rugs. Neither is described.
Dreame states 13,000 Pa Vormax suction, an anti-tangle DuoBrush for long hair and pet fur, and a 5L bag that it says lasts up to 150 days. The robot vacuums and mops in one pass, with 32 water levels, a 500 ml dustbin and a 350 ml tank. Pathfinder builds an editable map with no-go zones and multi-floor support, and it takes Alexa, Siri and Google voice control. It supports 2.4G Wi-Fi only. The mop type, mop lift and robot height are not stated, so keep rugs out of its mopping path and measure your furniture clearance.
What stands out
- Up to 150 days between bag changes, per Dreame
- 13,000 Pa stated
- 32 water levels
- Editable maps with no-go zones
Trade-offs
- Mop washing not described
- Mop lift on carpet not stated
- 2.4G Wi-Fi only
Best for LiDAR navigation at the entry tier
Roborock Q7 M5+
The Roborock to pick when you care more about the mapping and brush design than the number of days between bag changes.
- Mid-range
- Suction 10,000 Pa
- Navigation PreciSense LiDAR
- Mop 3 water flow settings
- Dock Empties into a 2.7L bag
- Buy it if
- You want a LiDAR-mapped robot with no-go zones around pet areas and a stated three-step mop.
- Skip it if
- You want the longest stretch between emptyings, or you need the mop to be washed by the dock.
Roborock rates the RockDock Plus 2.7L sealed bag for 7 to 9 weeks and pairs it with 10,000 Pa HyperForce suction, a JawScrapers main brush and a side brush it calls 0% hair-tangling. PreciSense LiDAR plans the route, and the Roborock app handles schedules, spot cleaning, no-go zones and live progress. The mop has three water flow settings, and the listing does not name the mop type or state a carpet lift. It works on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, and robot height is not stated.
What stands out
- PreciSense LiDAR mapping
- Dual anti-tangle brushes
- No-go zones and room schedules in the app
- 2.7L sealed bag
Trade-offs
- Shorter stated emptying stretch than the Dreame
- Mop washing and carpet lift not stated
- 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only
Which One to Pick
Choose the Dreame D20 Plus if the days between bag changes decide it: 150 days against 7 to 9 weeks, with a bigger 5L bag. Choose the Roborock Q7 M5+ if you want a robot with LiDAR navigation and a brush set built around hair. Neither dock washes the mop, so if that matters, the next pair is where it starts.
Full Dock for Less: Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 vs Roborock Qrevo S Pro
Here the dock starts to wash and dry the mops, and that changes the day-to-day more than extra suction does. Both models sit in the same mid-range tier, which makes this the cleanest comparison on the page.
The Matchup
The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 states 10,000 Pa, two rotary mops, up to 75 days of auto-empty into a 3.2L bag, automatic mop washing, warm air drying and an automatic cleaning solution compartment. The Roborock Qrevo S Pro states 18,500 Pa, a dual spinning mop that lifts 10 mm on carpet, a dock with 167°F self-cleaning and 113°F drying, a 2.7L bag rated for 7 to 9 weeks, and a 3.8 inch low profile. The suction figures are each maker's own rating, so read the gap as a hint, not a measured difference.

Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2
The Dreame to pick when you want the dock to handle detergent and carpet modes along with the usual wash and dry.
- Mid-range
- Buy it if
- You have mixed floors and want several carpet modes, plus a dock that tops up water and solution for you.
- Skip it if
- You need to know the wash temperature or the robot's height. Neither is stated.
Dreame states 10,000 Pa Vormax suction, a floating rubber brush for hair, and DuoScrub mopping with two high-speed rotary mops. The base station empties for up to 75 days with a 300 mL dust box and a 3.2L bag, refills from a 4.5L tank, blow-dries the mops with warm air and adds cleaning solution on its own. Carpet modes include mop raising, suction boost and carpet avoidance. A 5,200mAh battery is listed for up to 240 minutes in Standard Mode. It works on a 2.4GHz network. The wash temperature and robot height are not stated.
What stands out
- Dock empties, washes, dries and adds solution
- Five carpet cleaning options
- Up to 75 days of auto-empty
- Pet care mode in the app
Trade-offs
- Wash temperature not stated
- Robot height not stated

Best for low furniture and a hot mop wash
Roborock Qrevo S Pro
The Roborock to pick when clearance under beds and sofas matters and you want the wash and dry temperatures on the record.
- Mid-range
- Buy it if
- You have low furniture and rugs, and you want a dock with stated wash and dry temperatures.
- Skip it if
- You want the longest stretch between bag changes.
Roborock states 18,500 Pa, a zero-tangle side brush, an all-rubber main brush and an omnidirectional wheel that is easy to clean. The dock empties into a sealed 2.7L bag rated for 7 to 9 weeks, self-cleans at 167°F and dries the mops with 113°F air. SmartPlan 2.0 adjusts settings to layout, floor type and cleaning history, and operation is rated at 55 dB. The robot is listed at 3.8 inches for gliding under beds and sofas, with boosted carpet suction and a 10 mm mop lift. It works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, and Roborock gives a one year warranty for quality-related issues. For the rest of the line, see our Roborock Qrevo guide.
What stands out
- 3.8 inch low-profile body
- 167°F self-cleaning and 113°F drying
- 10 mm mop lift and boosted carpet suction
- 55 dB operation, per Roborock
Trade-offs
- Shorter stated emptying stretch than the Dreame
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
Which One to Pick
Take the Roborock Qrevo S Pro if clearance and a documented wash and dry routine decide it, and if you want the higher stated suction in the same tier. Take the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 if you want the dock to add cleaning solution for you, you like having several carpet modes to choose from, and 75 days of emptying is enough for you.
Mid-Range Combo: Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 vs Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro
One caution before the comparison: the Dreame's listing says less about its dock than the Roborock's does, so the Roborock side of this pair has more figures. That is a fact about the listings, not a verdict on the robots. Both sit in the premium price tier.
The Matchup
The Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 states 25,000 Pa with five suction levels, an extendable side brush and mop, four carpet modes and a mop that lifts 0.41 in. The Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro states 20,000 Pa, a FlexiArm edge mop, a mop lift of up to 15 mm, and a dock with 149°F mop self-cleaning and 113°F drying.

Pick the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 when the higher suction and the longer battery listing matter more, and you accept that the dock's wash temperature and emptying stretch are not stated.
Slim Premium: Dreame L60 Ultra PE vs Roborock Saros 10R
This pair is where height starts to matter. The Roborock Saros 10R is built around a 3.14 inch body with no raised laser tower. The Dreame L60 Ultra PE does not state its height, so this pair is about two ways of reaching the same goal, not two matching numbers.
The Matchup

Which One to Pick
If you are weighing the Dreame X60 against the Roborock Saros 20, the suction numbers are within 1,000 Pa of each other, so decide on the dock and the paperwork. The Dreame states 100 days of dust disposal and a 3 year warranty. The Roborock states 5GHz Wi-Fi support and a slightly different step height. Both state a 212°F mop wash.
Thresholds and Low Furniture
Across the five pairs, the two things that vary most are how low the robot goes and how high a step it will climb. Both are worth measuring at home before you compare any two models.
Height Under the Sofa
The Roborock listings are the most specific here: the Qrevo S Pro states 3.8 inches, the Saros 10R states 3.14 inches and the Saros 20 states 3.14 inches in its title and 3.13 inches in its features. Dreame states 3.13 inches for the X60 Max Ultra Complete, but the D20 Plus, L10s Ultra Gen 2, L40 Ultra Gen 2 and L60 Ultra PE do not state a robot height. The L10s Ultra Gen 2 says it cleans under low furniture up to 4cm deep, which is a cleaning claim, not a body height.
Thresholds and Steps
The stated climbing figures differ in how they are worded. The Dreame L60 Ultra PE states 1.57 in (4 cm) obstacle crossing, and the Roborock Saros 10R states 4 cm. At the flagship level, the Dreame X60 states steps up to 3.47 in (8.8 cm) and the Saros 20 states 3.46 in double-layer steps. Treat those as the makers' own figures for their own test conditions. Our Roborock Saros guide lists the full Saros range if clearance is your main concern.
Mops and Docks
If you are searching for a Dreame vs Roborock vacuum mop answer, the short version is that both brands now build docks that empty, wash and dry, and the real differences sit in the numbers each listing chooses to state.
Mopping
At the entry rung, Dreame lists 32 water levels on the D20 Plus and Roborock lists three on the Q7 M5+, and neither states a carpet lift. From the Qrevo S Pro up, Roborock states a mop lift of 10 mm, then 15 mm on the Qrevo 2 Pro. Dreame states a 0.41 in lift on the L40 Ultra Gen 2 and mop raising on the L10s Ultra Gen 2. For more mop-focused picks across brands, see our guide to the best robot vacuum and mop combos.
Docks and Wash Temperatures
The stated wash temperatures run from 149°F on the Qrevo 2 Pro to 167°F on the Qrevo S Pro, 176°F on the Saros 10R and 212°F on the Dreame L60 Ultra PE, Dreame X60 and Saros 20. The Dreame D20 Plus, L10s Ultra Gen 2 and L40 Ultra Gen 2 do not state one. The stated dust stretch runs from 7 to 9 weeks on the Roborock entry bag to 150 days on the D20 Plus, but bag sizes differ, so compare the days only within a pair.
Upkeep
All ten robots use bags, brushes, filters and mop pads that wear out. The listings used here give no parts catalog, so before you buy, search for your model's replacement bags and pads and see how easy they are to find. For the full range of each brand, see our Dreame reviews and Roborock reviews.
