Eufy vs Roomba: Which Robot Vacuum Fits Your Home
Eight current robots in four matched pairs, from the entry dock models to the flagships, so you compare like with like and pick the brand that fits your floors.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no cost to you. How we make money.
Eufy and Roomba keep turning up side by side when people shop for a robot vacuum, and the usual answer to "which is better?" is a single line that helps nobody. The honest answer depends on the rung of the ladder. Both brands now sell robots that vacuum, mop and look after themselves at a dock, but they make different choices about how the mop works, how long the dock runs unattended and what the robot is said to avoid.
So this page does not rank the brands. It sets eight current models side by side in four matched pairs, one eufy against one Roomba at the same rung: an entry dock pair, a step-up pair, a carpet and spills pair, and the flagships. Inside each pair you can see what the maker states for the points that matter at home, and where one side is silent, we say so. A short section on the budget tier follows, because that is where the two brands part ways.

How We Compare
We do not run a test lab, and we will not pretend to. Every figure on this page is the maker's own, taken from each model's current Amazon US listing and set next to its pair. We attribute the numbers, we say "not stated" when a listing is silent, and we never treat two makers' suction ratings as if they were measured the same way.

Entry Dock: eufy C28 vs Roomba Plus 415
This is the first rung where both brands hand the chores to a station: it empties the bin, washes the mop and dries it. One caution before the comparison: these two do not sit in the same price tier. The eufy C28 is in the premium tier and the Roomba Plus 415 one step lower, so the Roomba is the cheaper of the pair. That belongs in the comparison, and we say it up front.
The Matchup
The eufy C28 states 15,000 Pa, a 28 cm HydroJet roller mop with 24 water ports that spins at 270 RPM, and LiDAR navigation that avoids obstacles of 3 by 3 by 3 cm or larger without cameras. Its station empties into a 3 L bag and dries the roller with 50°C air. The Roomba Plus 415 states 2.8 times the suction of the Roomba Plus 405 (no figure in pascals), DualClean spinning mop pads with SmartScrub pressure, LiDAR mapping with obstacle recognition, and an AutoWash dock that dries pads at 113°F and empties for up to 90 days.

The Two Robots Reviewed
Best for a roller mop that cleans itself
eufy C28
The eufy to pick when the mop is the point: a wide roller that self-cleans with a scraper while it works.
- Premium
- Suction 15,000 Pa
- Navigation LiDAR, no cameras
- Mop 28 cm roller, lifts 10.8 mm
- Dock Empties, washes, dries at 50°C
- Buy it if
- You have mostly hard floors with pet paw prints and kitchen spills, and you want the dock to run for weeks.
- Skip it if
- You want the lower price tier, or a stated Wi-Fi band before you buy.
eufy describes a roller that spins 9 times a second with a built-in scraper moving dirt to a separate tank, so the roller keeps rinsing as it goes. The brush is said to handle hair up to 30 cm without wrapping, and carpets get automatic extra suction. The station handles emptying into a 3 L bag, mop washing, hot air drying and wastewater collection, which eufy says covers 95% of maintenance for up to 75 days. Noise is listed at 54.89 dB. The robot height is not stated.
What stands out
- 28 cm roller that self-cleans with a scraper
- Dock rated for up to 75 days with a 3 L bag
- LiDAR navigation without cameras
- Mop lifts 10.8 mm on short carpet
Trade-offs
- Higher price tier than the Roomba Plus 415
- Lowest suction figure of the eufy models here
- Wi-Fi band not stated
Best for the cheapest full dock
iRobot Roomba Plus 415
The cheaper way into a full dock: it empties, washes and dries, and it is listed at 3.29 inches tall.
- Mid-range
- Suction Not stated in Pa
- Navigation LiDAR + obstacle recognition
- Mop Spinning pads, lift 10 mm
- Dock Empties, washes, dries at 113°F
- Buy it if
- You want the empty, wash and dry routine without moving into the premium tier, and your floors are a mix of hard surface and rugs.
- Skip it if
- You want a stated suction figure in pascals to compare against eufy.
iRobot states 2.8 times more suction than the Roomba Plus 405, which is a comparison to another Roomba rather than a number you can set against eufy. Mop pads lift 10 mm before the robot crosses a rug, SmartScrub adds pressure for dried spills, and extending brushes work edges and corners. The listing calls the body 46% slimmer than the Plus 405 and gives a height of 3.29 inches. The dock refills water and empties debris, and iRobot backs the robot with a one year manufacturer warranty.
What stands out
- Lower price tier than the eufy C28
- Dock empties for up to 90 days
- Pads lift 10 mm over carpet
- Listed at 3.29 inches tall
Trade-offs
- Suction not stated in pascals
- Pads rather than a roller mop
- Wi-Fi band not stated
Which One to Pick
Pick the Roomba Plus 415 if the tier matters most and you want a full dock at the lowest outlay in this pair. Pick the eufy C28 if you want a roller mop that rinses itself as it works and are happy to step up a tier for it. The C28 is the one with a stated suction figure, so it is easier to compare against other robots.
Step Up: eufy E25 vs Roomba Plus 575
Both robots sit in the premium price tier here, so this is a like for like matchup. Each adds stronger suction and a better edge reach than the entry pair, and each keeps the washing dock.
The Matchup
The eufy E25 states 20,000 Pa, a HydroJet roller mop that refreshes with clean water twice a second, a CornerRover arm that extends along baseboards, and a 3 L bag rated at about 75 days. The Roomba Plus 575 states 25,000 Pa, spinning pads on an articulating arm that extends 35 mm, a threshold climb of up to 35 mm and an AutoWash dock that washes at 167°F, dries at 113°F and empties for up to 3 months.

- 25,000 Pa stated
- Pads extend 35 mm for edges
- Climbs thresholds up to 35 mm
- Listed at 3.29 inches tall

Which One to Pick
If you have shed-heavy pets and low furniture, the Roomba Plus 575 states more suction and a lower body. If you have a big or multi-level home and want a stated runtime and saved floor plans, the eufy E25 gives you those numbers. Both are in the same tier, so the choice is the trade, not the budget.
Carpet and Spills: eufy E28 vs Roomba Plus 678
Both robots in this pair are premium, and both go after the same worry: carpet pickup and stuck-on mess. They solve it differently. eufy bolts a portable cleaner onto the station; iRobot sprays the floor before the roller arrives.
The Matchup
The eufy E28 states 20,000 Pa with carpet detection and a detachable portable deep cleaner that lifts off the station for spills on carpets, sofas, stairs and car seats. The Roomba Plus 678 states 30,000 Pa, SealForce suction that seals against carpet fibers, SprayForce AI pre-treatment at 40,000 Pa of spray pressure, and a heated PowerSpin roller mop that presses down with 15 newtons.

The Two Robots Reviewed
Best for spills on carpets and sofas
eufy E28
The only robot in this comparison that doubles as a hand-held fabric cleaner.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You have pets or children, carpets and a sofa, and you want one machine for the robot and the spot-cleaning.
- Skip it if
- You need a stated mop lift, bag size or navigation type; the listing gives none of them.
eufy lists 20,000 Pa with automatic suction adjustment on carpet, DuoSpiral anti-tangle brushes and a CornerRover arm for edges. The station empties, washes the roller mops, refills, dries with hot air and dispenses detergent. The portable deep cleaner lifts off for carpets, sofas, stairs and car seats. It works with Alexa, Matter and Google Assistant on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. Bag size, mop lift and runtime are not stated, and the listing does not say how the robot navigates.
What stands out
- Detachable portable deep cleaner
- Detergent dispensing at the station
- Matter, Alexa and Google Assistant support
Trade-offs
- Mop lift, bag size and navigation not stated
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
- Lower stated suction than the Roomba Plus 678
Best for stuck-on mess and deep carpet
iRobot Roomba Plus 678
The Roomba for people who need one robot to lift carpet dirt and loosen dried spills before mopping.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You have sticky floors and rugs in the same rooms and want the robot to pick the treatment.
- Skip it if
- You want a hand-held cleaner for sofas, or a stated Wi-Fi band.
iRobot pairs SealForce with a sealed brush zone on carpet, then uses AI vision to spot liquids and stains and fire a pressurized spray before the roller passes. The roller presses at 15 newtons with heated water, extends up to 45 mm at the edges, and lifts 10 mm over carpet. The dock soaks the roller at 176°F, dries it at 131°F and empties into a sealed bag for up to 90 days. The body is 9.95 cm slim and climbs 3.5 cm thresholds. The warranty is one year from the manufacturer.
What stands out
- 30,000 Pa stated
- Spray pre-treatment before mopping
- Dock rated for up to 90 days
- 9.95 cm profile and 3.5 cm threshold climb
Trade-offs
- Wi-Fi band not stated
- No hand-held cleaner
- Bag size not stated
Which One to Pick
If the sofa and the car seats are part of the job, the eufy E28 is the only one here that does them. If your problem is dried-on kitchen mess and deep rug dirt, the Roomba Plus 678 states the higher suction, a spray pre-treatment and the longer stated dock run. Both are premium, so decide on the task.
Flagship: eufy E35 vs Roomba Max 875
These are the top models of each brand in this comparison, and both are premium. Both pair a high suction figure with a heated, self-cleaning roller mop, and both are built around the dock. They differ on sensing, allergen claims and how the roller treats rugs.
The Matchup
The eufy E35 states 35,000 Pa, a HydroJet 2.0 roller that self-cleans 8 times a second under 16 newtons of pressure, AI-See 3.0 with an RGB camera and LED fill light, and AAFA and ASL allergy certification. The Roomba Max 875 states 40,000 Pa, SealForce with tornado-like airflow, a PowerSpin Max roller at 300 RPM and 18 newtons with 140°F water, and ClearView Pro Dual Line LiDAR with PrecisionVision AI that recognizes 300+ common objects.

The Two Robots Reviewed
Best for allergy-minded homes and long hair
eufy E35
The eufy for households that worry about allergens and long hair, and accept a camera for dark rooms.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You have long-haired people or pets, or allergy concerns, and you want the claims certified by a named body.
- Skip it if
- You do not want a camera on a robot, or you want the longest dock run.
eufy cites AAFA and ASL certification, with allergen removal figures attributed to the maker, plus a retractable dual-arm roller brush it says handles strands up to 50 cm. The ThermoFresh station empties into a 2.5 L bag, washes at 140°F and dries at 131°F, and eufy puts the run at up to two months. AI-See 3.0 uses an RGB camera and dual line lasers to dodge 280+ objects as small as 1 cm³ in the dark. Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only. Robot height is not stated.
What stands out
- AAFA and ASL allergy certification, per eufy
- Retractable brush for long hair
- Camera and lasers navigate in the dark
- Dock washes at 140°F and dries at 131°F
Trade-offs
- Camera on board
- Up to 60 days of dust, shorter than the Roomba's 90
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
Best for rugs and roller scrubbing
iRobot Roomba Max 875
The Roomba for homes with sticky floors and rugs in the same rooms, with the highest stated suction here.
- Premium
- Buy it if
- You want one robot to scrub hard floors with hot water and protect your rugs from the mop.
- Skip it if
- You need a stated Wi-Fi band or a robot with a camera for checking in.
iRobot states ThermaMist at 140°F to soften spills, a roller at 300 RPM, and DriLift, which lifts the mop and lowers a protective shield over carpet. PerfectEdge extends the roller up to 45 mm. The dock washes the roller at 176°F, dries at 131°F and empties into a carbon AllergenLock bag for up to 90 days. The listing gives a height of 3.9 inches, a 3.5 cm threshold climb and a one year manufacturer warranty. Works with Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant.
What stands out
- 40,000 Pa stated
- Roller shield lowers over carpet
- Dock empties for up to 90 days
- Hair-cutting main brush
Trade-offs
- Wi-Fi band not stated
- Bag size not stated
- Dock run of up to 90 days is the maker's figure
Which One to Pick
Pick the Roomba Max 875 when rugs and stuck-on mess share the same rooms: the shield and 40,000 Pa are built for that. Pick the eufy E35 when long hair, allergies or dark rooms decide it. Both are premium, so you are choosing between a rug shield and an allergy certification, not between price tiers.
No Eufy at the Budget Tier
If you were hoping to compare eufy and Roomba at the cheapest end, there is no pair to draw. In the listings we read on November 7, 2026, all four eufy models here are in the premium price tier, and none of the eufy robots we cover is a budget model. Roomba does, and the Roomba 105 Vac is the one we would point at.
Top pick · Best budget Roomba
iRobot Roomba 105 Vac
The cheap, simple Roomba: it maps with LiDAR, cleans in neat rows and does little else.
- Budget
- Buy it if
- You have mostly dry floors, you want the lowest price tier and you want the least to manage.
- Skip it if
- You want any mopping or a dock that empties the bin.
iRobot lists ClearView LiDAR, neat-row cleaning, room scheduling, adjustable passes and suction levels, keep-out zones in the Roomba Home app and a spot mode that works one area for up to five minutes. It uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for setup and operation. Suction is quoted only as 70 times more than the Roomba 600 series, so there is no pascal figure to compare with eufy. The listing describes no mop and no emptying dock, and robot height is not stated. See our Roomba 105 review for the full picture.
What stands out
- Budget price tier
- LiDAR mapping and neat rows
- Room selection and keep-out zones in the app
Trade-offs
- No mop described
- No self-emptying dock described
- Suction not stated in pascals
Mops: HydroJet Roller vs iRobot Pads and Rollers
This is the cleanest split between the brands. All four eufy models here use a roller mop under the HydroJet name. The C28 describes a 28 cm roller with 24 water ports and a scraper, the E25 refreshes the roller with clean water twice a second, and the E35 steps up to HydroJet 2.0 at 8 times a second and 16 newtons of pressure. The E28 names the HydroJet system without giving figures.
iRobot changes mop type as you climb. The Plus 415 and 575 use spinning pads with SmartScrub pressure, and the Plus 678 and Max 875 switch to a heated roller at 15 and 18 newtons. The 678 and 875 add a pre-treatment: SprayForce on the 678, ThermaMist on the 875.
On carpet, both brands protect rugs. The eufy C28 and E25 state a 10.8 mm lift, and the Roomba 415, 575 and 678 state 10 mm. The Max 875 uses a shield that lowers over the rug. The eufy E28 and E35 listings do not state a lift, so treat that as not stated and keep rugs out of the mopping path if it matters to you.
Apps and the iRobot Question
Both brands run from a phone app with scheduling, room selection and voice control. The eufy E25 lists Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri, the E28 lists Alexa, Matter and Google Assistant, and the E35 lists Alexa. iRobot's Max 875 lists Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant through the Roomba Home app, and the Plus 415 lists app and voice control without naming the assistants. One practical difference is Wi-Fi: the eufy E25, E28 and E35 all say 2.4 GHz only, while the Roomba Plus models do not state a band.
You may also have seen headlines about iRobot's finances. We keep that separate from the product pairs and cover it, with sources, on our iRobot bankruptcy page. For the full range of each brand, see our eufy reviews and Roomba reviews. If Roborock is also on your list, compare eufy vs Roborock and Roomba vs Roborock.
