Dreame L Series: L10s Ultra, L40 Ultra and L60 Compared
Five current Dreame L models, from the L10s Ultra Gen 2 to the L60 Pro Ultra, with the L40 Ultra Gen 2 in the middle, sorted by suction, mop lift, dock and how much of a step each one is rated to cross.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no cost to you. How we make money.
Dreame sells its L series under names that sound like a family tree and read like a puzzle. L10s Ultra Gen 2, L40 Ultra Gen 2, L60 Ultra PE, L60 Ultra and L60 Pro Ultra: five robots, one letter, and suction ratings from 10,000Pa to 35,000Pa. Shoppers who search for the Dreame L40 Ultra land in the middle of that range and often cannot tell what sits above and below it.
This guide puts the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 at the centre and sorts the rest around it. What does each robot's mop do on carpet? How tall a step is it rated to cross? How low is the body? How many days does the dock say it can go without a bag change? It starts with how we choose, compares all five in one table, then reviews each model, and then takes the L40 Ultra Gen 2, the confusing model names and the three L60 robots one at a time. If you want every Dreame series in one place, our Dreame robot vacuum guide covers the whole company, and this page goes deeper on the L line.

How We Choose
We do not run a test lab, and we will not pretend to. Every Dreame L model here was chosen by reading the maker's own specifications from its Amazon US listing, line by line, and comparing all five on the same points. We say what Dreame states and attribute it. Where a listing is silent, we write that it is not stated rather than guess.

Dreame L Series Compared
The table sets the five side by side. Suction figures are Dreame's own ratings in pascals (Pa), which compare models inside the brand well and models from other brands poorly. Where a cell says not stated, the listing is silent on that point.

The Dreame L Series, Reviewed
Each review opens with the short verdict, then who should buy it and who should not. The detail underneath is there for when two models look close.
Top pick · Best for a first Dreame dock
Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2
The L to start with if you want the dock routine without the 25,000Pa and above ratings. It empties itself for up to 75 days, washes the mops and dries them with warm air.
- Mid-range
- Suction 10,000 Pa
- Auto-empty days Up to 75 days
- Buy it if
- You want a self-emptying, mop-washing dock, you have a mix of hard floors and rugs, and a 10,000Pa rating is plenty for your home.
- Skip it if
- You have thick carpet and want a high suction rating, or you need a stated height and climbing figure. Neither is listed.
The L10s Ultra Gen 2 rates suction at 10,000Pa, which Dreame brands Vormax, and pairs it with a floating rubber brush the listing says detangles hair. Two high-speed rotary mops, called DuoScrub, press down to scrub stubborn dirt and spills. Dreame says the mop extends to reach edges, and quotes 165% edge cleaning.
The dock is the headline. The listing states auto-empty for up to 75 days, using a 300mL dust box and a 3.2L dust bag, plus automatic mop washing, warm-air drying and a 4.5L water tank. The auto-detergent compartment comes pre-installed. The wash temperature is not stated.
For carpet, Dreame lists mop raising, intensive carpet cleaning with suction boost, vacuum and mop, carpet avoidance and prioritized carpet cleaning. Pet care mode cleans pet areas twice, based on furniture you add in the app. The battery is 5,200mAh and the listing gives up to 240 minutes in Standard Mode. The listing says it cleans under low furniture in spaces up to 4 cm deep, but the body height is not stated.
What stands out
- Up to 75 days of auto-empty, per Dreame
- Warm-air mop drying and a pre-installed detergent compartment
- Five carpet modes, including mop raising and carpet avoidance
- Pet care mode that cleans marked pet areas twice
Trade-offs
- 10,000Pa is the lowest suction rating of the five
- Mop-wash temperature, height and climbing are not stated
- The listing we read is sold by a third-party retailer, so check who covers the warranty
Best for most homes with mixed floors
Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2
The Dreame L we would point most households to. It covers suction, corners and carpet care without the price of the L60 climbing chassis.
- Mid-range
- Suction 25,000 Pa
- Mop on carpet Lifts 0.41 in (10.5 mm)
- Buy it if
- You have hardwood, tile and rugs together, perhaps a pet, and you want a self-cleaning dock without paying for threshold climbing.
- Skip it if
- You need to cross raised thresholds, or you want a stated body height, wash temperature and dust days. None is listed.
The L40 Ultra Gen 2 rates suction at 25,000Pa with five suction levels. Dreame says its extending brush and mop reach corners and under furniture. Navigation uses Smart Pathfinder and 3DAdapt, which the listing says avoids obstacles like shoes.
For carpet, four modes are listed: carpet avoidance, suction boost, intensive carpet cleaning and mop lifting of 0.41 in, which the title gives as 10.5 mm. The all-in-one dock is described as self-emptying and self-cleaning. Dust days, wash temperature and drying method are not stated.
The battery is 5,200mAh, and the listing gives up to 231 minutes and 1679 ft² in Quiet Mode, with off-peak charging. Control is by app and by Alexa, Siri and Google Home. One detail to watch: the auto-detergent dispenser is an optional accessory, sold separately, and you switch it on in the app.
What stands out
- 25,000Pa with five suction levels
- Extending side brush and mop for corners
- 10.5 mm mop lifting and four carpet modes
- Up to 231 minutes of Quiet Mode cleaning, per Dreame
Trade-offs
- Dust days, wash temperature, height and climbing are not stated
- Auto-detergent dispenser is a separate purchase
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, for USA use
Best for hot-water mop washing
Dreame L60 Ultra PE
The L60 for people who care most about clean mops. It washes the pads at 212°F and still crosses 4 cm obstacles.
- Premium
- Suction 30,000 Pa
- Dock 212°F (100°C) wash, hot-air drying
- Buy it if
- You mop kitchens and entryways, want hot-water sanitizing and hair-aware brushes, and do not need the tallest climb.
- Skip it if
- You want a stated height, dust days or carpet mop lift. None appears in the text we read.
The L60 Ultra PE leads with its mop station. Dreame describes a 100C ThermoHub, a PTC-heated washboard that cleans the pads with high-temperature water, which the title gives as 212°F. The station also empties dust, mixes cleaning solution, refills water, dries the mops with hot air and charges faster.
Suction is rated at 30,000Pa. The HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush pairs a bristled rubber brush with a soft TPU rubber brush for hair on hard floors and carpets. Dual Flex Arm technology extends the side brush and swings the mop to reach edges, corners and low spaces.
EasyLeap uses main wheels and auxiliary climbing wheels to cross obstacles of 40 mm, 1.57 in in the title, including thresholds and door tracks. Object recognition covers 220+ types. Dust days, height and carpet mop lift are not stated.
What stands out
- 212°F mop washing with hot-air drying
- 30,000Pa with a detangling DuoBrush
- Dual Flex Arm for corners and edges
- Crosses 40 mm obstacles, per Dreame
Trade-offs
- Dust days, height and carpet mop lift are not stated
- Obstacle climb is lower than the Ultra and Pro Ultra
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, for USA use
Best for pets and a 100-day dock
Dreame L60 Ultra
The L60 for pet homes. It lists litter box and pee pad handling, 280+ recognized objects and a dock that runs 100 days between bag changes.
- Premium
- Suction 35,000 Pa
- Mop on carpet Lifts 10.5 mm or removes pads
- Auto-empty days 100 days
- Height 8.2 cm
- Buy it if
- You have pets, want to locate them from the app, and prefer a dock you rarely touch.
- Skip it if
- You need to cross double-layer thresholds. The listing states 1.97 in of clearing, not the 3.47 in of the Pro Ultra.
The L60 Ultra rates suction at 35,000Pa and describes AI-Enhanced 3D ToF Vision that detects 280+ object types. Dreame states an ultra-thin 8.2 cm body, and the title gives 1.97 in (5 cm) obstacle clearing.
The PowerDock washes mops with 100C hot water on a self-cleaning washboard, and the listing states 100-day auto-emptying. An extendable side brush and an outward-swinging mop work together on corners. The title also names a detangling brush.
The pet features are specific. Dreame says it adjusts suction near litter boxes, keeps floors drier, steers clear of pee pads, and lets you locate pets, log their spots and interact with them. On carpet, the robot lifts mops 10.5 mm, boosts suction or removes the mops entirely.
What stands out
- 100-day auto-emptying, per Dreame
- Litter box and pee pad awareness
- Mops lift 10.5 mm or come off on carpet
- 8.2 cm body and 280+ object types
Trade-offs
- Clears 1.97 in, less than the Pro Ultra
- Brush design beyond a detangling brush is not stated
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, for USA use
Best for raised thresholds and low sofas
Dreame L60 Pro Ultra
The L for homes with door tracks and low furniture. It lists the highest climbing and a stated body height under 9 cm.
- Premium
- Suction 35,000 Pa
- Dock 212°F (100°C) wash, hot-air drying
- Height 3.50 in (8.9 cm)
- Buy it if
- Your rooms are split by double-layer thresholds, you have low sofas or beds, and you want one robot to handle both.
- Skip it if
- Your floors are flat and your furniture is high. You would be paying for climbing and a LiDAR you will not use.
The L60 Pro Ultra rates suction at 35,000Pa. ProLeap retractable legs cross double-layer thresholds up to 3.47 in (8.8 cm) and single steps up to 1.77 in (4.5 cm), per the listing. VersaLift LiDAR lowers the robot to 3.50 in (8.9 cm) for sofas, beds and cabinets while keeping 360 degree navigation.
The mop and side brush extend up to 1.58 in (40mm) toward corners and walls. The multifunction dock empties dust, washes the pads with hot water, dries them with hot air and refills water; the title gives 212°F (100°C) cleaning, and the title lists 280+ object types.
On carpet, the robot removes the pads or lifts them 0.41 in (10.5mm) and boosts suction. Dust days and brush design are not stated.

- Crosses 3.47 in double-layer thresholds, according to Dreame
- 3.50 in body with a liftable LiDAR
- Pads lift 10.5 mm or are removed on carpet
- 212°F mop washing and 280+ object types

- Climbing and a lifting LiDAR add little on flat homes
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, for USA use
Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 in Detail
The L40 Ultra Gen 2 is the model most shoppers type into a search box, so it gets its own section. Everything below is the maker's listing, not our measurements.
What the Listing Promises
Dreame leads with 25,000Pa suction and five levels, then spends most of the page on reach. The brush and the mop both extend, and Dreame says that is how the robot cleans corners and under furniture where most vacuums fail. Navigation relies on Smart Pathfinder and 3DAdapt, and the listing gives shoes as the example it avoids. The dock handles emptying and self-cleaning, though the listing does not tell you how many days it holds or how hot the wash gets.
Where It Sits in the Line
Against the L10s Ultra Gen 2 it multiplies the suction rating by two and a half and adds a stated mop lift of 10.5 mm. Against the L60 trio it gives up the hot-water wash figures, the object counts and, most of all, the climbing. If you do not have raised thresholds and your sofa has normal clearance, those L60 extras are what the extra tier of money buys. If you do, the L40 is the wrong robot and the Pro Ultra is the right one.
Carpet and Pets
Four carpet modes are listed: avoidance, suction boost, intensive cleaning and a 10.5 mm mop lift. The listing speaks of keeping pet zones clean with less manual effort, but it does not name a pet-hair brush, so judge that point on the brush photos before you buy. Our guide to the best robot vacuums for carpets compares other brands on pile height.
What Is Not Stated
Height, climbing, dust days, wash temperature, drying method and the mop shape are all absent from the L40 Ultra Gen 2 text we read. Do not assume them from the L60 listings: the models differ. If any of those decides your purchase, ask the seller or read Dreame's own page first.
L40 Ultra, Gen 2, L40s and CE: The Name Maze
Search results for this robot are full of names that look alike: Dreame L40 Ultra, L40 Ultra Gen 2, L40s Ultra and versions marked AE or CE. Here is what we can say, and what we cannot.
What We Read
The listing in this guide is titled L40 Ultra Gen 2, with the part number RLL53SE. That is the only L40 we read. The same goes for the L10s: the listing is the L10s Ultra Gen 2, part number RLL32SE, and we did not read an original L10s Ultra or a plain L10s. The L60 robots carry the part numbers RLL88HE, RPL51FE0 and RLL56CE0.
What Is Not in the Line-Up We Read
The first-generation L40 Ultra, the L40s Ultra and any AE or CE regional version are not in the line-up we read, so we do not compare them here. We also cannot say what the letters at the end of a part number mean, because the listings do not explain them. Do not guess from a suffix.
How to Avoid Buying the Wrong One
Match three things on the page before you order: the full name including Gen 2, the part number in the product details, and the country the listing is for. These listings repeat that they support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for USA use only, a line worth checking against your own network and region. One more difference is easy to miss: the L10s Ultra Gen 2 lists its auto-detergent compartment as pre-installed, while the L40 Ultra Gen 2 lists the dispenser as an optional accessory sold separately. If the detergent dispenser matters to you, the names alone will not tell you which one has it.
L60 Ultra, L60 Ultra PE and L60 Pro Ultra
The L60 trio is the premium end of the five. All three list 30,000Pa or more, a 212°F (100°C) mop wash, a flexible extending arm and object recognition in the hundreds of types. They separate on climbing, height, dust days and pet features.
Climbing and Height
The PE crosses 40 mm, the Ultra clears 5 cm, and the Pro Ultra crosses double-layer thresholds of 8.8 cm and single steps of 4.5 cm. Height follows the same order in reverse for the two that state it: the L60 Ultra lists an 8.2 cm body and the Pro Ultra lists 3.50 in (8.9 cm) with its LiDAR lowered. The PE does not state a height, so measure your lowest sofa before you buy it.
Docks and Dust
The Ultra is the only one that lists a dust interval, 100 days. The PE describes its ThermoHub and hot-air drying, and the Pro Ultra describes a multifunction base. Neither gives days. If you hate changing bags, the Ultra and the L10s Ultra Gen 2 (75 days) are the only two with a number on the page.
Pets
The PE names a detangling DuoBrush, the Ultra adds litter box and pee pad handling, and the Pro Ultra mentions pet hair in its suction line without naming a brush. For a busy dog-and-cat house, our guide to robot vacuums for pet hair compares more brands.
Which One
Pick the PE for hot-water washing at the lowest L60 tier, the Ultra for pets and the longest stated dust interval, and the Pro Ultra if thresholds or a low sofa decide the purchase. If none of those is your problem, the L40 Ultra Gen 2 does more of the day-to-day work for less.
Dreame L Series vs X Series
The L line is Dreame's mainstream family, and the X line sits beside it. We read no X listing for this guide, so we do not compare specifications here. What we can say is that the L listings share a pattern: an extending side brush and mop, a self-cleaning dock and Dreame's own suction ratings, which compare well inside the brand and poorly across brands. For the whole Dreame range, including the D and X lines, start with our Dreame robot vacuum guide. If mopping is what you are buying for, our page on robot vacuum and mop combos compares mop types across brands.
